WEST VIRGINIA SCHOOLS

Berkeley County Schools –  Closed. All schools (PreK-12) and offices closed. Evening activities are canceled.

Jefferson County Schools- Schools and Offices Closed.

Morgan County Schools – Closed for students. Employees follow Reporting Code A..

Grant County Schools – Closed for students. Employees follow Reporting Code H.

Hampshire County Schools – Closed. This will be a traditional snow day. No snow packets, no assignments. Also the board meeting scheduled for Jan 6, is rescheduled for Thursday.

West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind, Romney — Closed. Residential students are now scheduled to return to campus on Wednesday, January 8,

MARYLAND SCHOOLS

Washington County – Closed. Employees on Code Orange.

Frederick County – Schools Closed. Offices opening 2 hours late

Hancock Schools- Closed. Employees Code Orange.

PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOLS

Chambersburg Area School District –Closed

Greencastle-Antrim School District – Closed.  Flexible Instruction Day (FID).

Fannett Metal School District –Closed — Make up day is January 20

Southern Fulton School District –Flexible instructional day to begin at 10:00 a.m

Waynesboro Area School District – Closed — Make up day is Monday, March 17 

Central Fulton School District – Closed

VIRGINIA SCHOOLS

Clarke County – Closed. Offices open at noon

Frederick County —Schools will be CLOSED. All afternoon and evening activities, practices and events are also canceled. School offices and central offices will open at noon. Employees should follow Code Yellow. Liberal leave is in effect. Custodians will receive direction from their supervisor. The School Board Strategic Plan work session and Organizational meeting will take place as scheduled.

Loudoun County –  Schools and Administrative offices are Closed. All activities on school campuses are canceled

Winchester Public Schools – Closed. All Winchester Public Schools buildings and administrative offices will be closed . NO distance learning. Plan D for staff.

PRIVATE SCHOOLS

WV School for the Deaf and Blind –Closed.

St. John’s Catholic Prep –Closed and will have asynchronous instruction. Assignments will be posted by 8am–students must log in by 2pm. All afternoon and evening classes are canceled.

Martinsburg Christian Academy – ****

Faith Christian Academy – Closed. 

Emmanuel Christian – ****

Grace Academy – Closed. Students will participate in a Flexible Instruction Day.

Heritage Academy – Closed. Revival is rescheduled for Jan 27-28.

Legacy Christian Academy – Closed. Games and Practices cancelled

Maryland School for the Deaf –Closed. All activities, both school-sponsored and community-sponsored, are canceled. Twelve-month employees can use liberal leave or work from home with their supervisor’s permission.

Shalom Christian Academy – 2 hour delay Tuesday, January 7. Growing Tree Preschool is on a modified schedule.

Ft. Detrick – CLOSED on Jan 7, 2025. Emergency and telework ready employees required to work must follow their agency’s policies, including written telework agreements. Forest Glen Annex employees follow OPM guidance.

Shenandoah University –  All locations Closed.  J Term classes meet virtually as scheduled. Faculty/staff work remotely

Frederick Community College – Delayed Opening. classes resume 11am Tues. Jan 7th. Do note any commute concerns with manager. Students see Blackboard or email for instructor info.

Blue Ridge CTC – All on campus activities and in person classes for all BRCTC locations are cancelled Tuesday, 1/7/25. Remote work/online instruction only. Critical Operations report to supervisor.

Hagerstown Community College – ****

James Rumsey Technical Institute – Closed.

Martinsburg City Hall, Martinsburg Municipal Court and administrative offices — ****

City of Charles Town – ****

Jefferson County, WV — Jefferson County Commission offices will be closed; and  The Jefferson County Courts will be will be on a two-hour delay (opening at 11:00 am) with liberal leave for Court staff.  For Tuesday, January 7, 2025, due to the ongoing inclement weather conditions.
The Jefferson County Commission special session and legislative workshop scheduled for January 7, 2025, is cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 9:30 am.

Berkeley County, WV  — ****

Maryland State — Liberal leave has been declared for State Offices on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, for all counties and Baltimore City beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 10:00 a.m. Non-emergency essential employees who report to the office may use liberal leave upon notification to the employee’s supervisor. Teleworkers should work as scheduled unless leave is granted. ​Emergency essential employees should report as scheduled.

Washington County Government, MD — *Liberal Leave in Effect for Washington County Government

City of Winchester – all City offices and services, including Parks and Recreation and Winchester Transit, will be closed, and recycling pickup will be canceled. 

EPTA — EPTA will continue to suspend all transit services through Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  EPTA plans to return to all normal services on Wednesday, January 8th.

Berkeley County Health Department — Delayed opening at 12:30 PM.

Morgan County Health Department  — Delayed opening at 12:30 PM.
