HAGERSTOWN, MD — The Hagerstown Police Department says a man was found downtown with a fully loaded handgun and 30 fentanyl pills as well as other drugs Tuesday.

A press release from HPD says officers approached the man, later identified as West Virginia resident Rasheed Hicks along the 100 block of North Prospect St. after they saw what they believed to be a suspected drug deal. The 22 year-old suspect fled on foot but was apprehended in the unit block of W. Bethel Street.

He was in possession of a fully loaded handgun, suspected cocaine, approximately 30 fentanyl pills and suspected fentanyl mix.

Hicks has been charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute and numerous firearms violations.
