Martinsburg, W.Va. — Police in Martinsburg are looking for the public’s help in tracking down those responsible for a rash of destruction of property incidents around the city.

Chief Erin Gibbons tells The Panhandle News Network over the past month, the Martinsburg Police Department has
responded to numerous reports of property destruction across the city.

He says the incidents involve an individual or individuals traveling through Martinsburg and using a BB
gun to shoot at vehicles and property windows, causing significant damage.

“Our officers and detectives are working diligently to identify and apprehend the
person or persons responsible. While we have several leads, we are seeking the
community’s assistance in solving these cases”

Department at 304-264-2100 and ask to speak with our Detective Bureau.

Chief Gibbons says information, no matter how small it may seem may prove crucial in resolving the incidents and preventing further damage.
