MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — After an issue involving two precincts in Berkeley County, results were finally tabulated overnight. That county’s results played in to a few multi-county races.

As to what the unofficial results are as of Wednesday morning,
In the 15th District Senatorial race,
Republican Tom Willis garnered 74 percent of the vote over Democrat Anthony Murray. Willis defeated Berkeley County’s Craig Blair, the sitting Senate President back in the Republican primary.
In the 16th District Senatorial race, incumbent Republican Senator Patricia Rucker defeated her opponent, former Democratic Delegate John Doyle.
In the 89th Delegate District, which includes parts of Morgan County, Republican Darren Thorne garnered 81 percent of the vote over Democrat Alyson Reeves.
Delegate George Miller was unopposed, as was 92nd District Delegate Mike Hite, 93rd District Delegate Mike Hornby and 94th District Delegate Larry Kump.
In the 91st, it was Republican Joseph deSoto with 77 percent of the vote over Constitution Candidate Rick Thomson.
In the 95th, incumbent Republican Delegate Chuck Horst garnered 69 percent of the vote over Democrat Debi Carroll.
In the 96th, Republican Lisa White got 72 percent of the vote over Democrat Nikki Lower.
In the 97th, it was Republican Chris Anders with 55 percent over Democrat Lucia Valentine.
In the 98th, it was newly appointed Republican Delegate Joe Funkhouser with 66 percent of the vote over Democrat Troy Miller.
Incumbent 99th District Delegate, Republican Wayne Clark got 58 percent of the vote over Democrat opponent Osmund Antonio Anderson.
100th District Incumbent Republican Delegate Bill Ridenour got 53 percent of the vote to defeat Democrat Maria Russo.

In Berkeley County’s Commission Race, HD Boyd and John Hardy came out on top.
For Berkeley County Sheriff, Rob Blair garnered 73 percent of the vote over Democrat David Jackson
and Carla Jean Kitchen was elected Conservation District Supervisor.

Michael Mood won his bid for the Jefferson County Commission.

Filling out the unexpired terms,
Jack Hefestay won in Charles Town Pasha Majdi won out of the Harpers Ferry District. and Cara Keys won in Shepherdstown.

Running unopposed in Jefferson County:

Matthew Harvey won for Prosecuting Attorney
Tom Hanson was elected Sheriff
and  Angie Banks for elected Assessor

The Levy Renewal was approved with overwhelming support in Jefferson County.

In Morgan County,  there were several seats in which the candidates ran unopposed including County Commissioner Sean Forney, Morgan County Sheriff Johnnie Walter, Prosecuting Attorney Dan James, and Assessor Debbie Weaver.

Voters in Morgan County approved Amendment One by a 51 percent margin. The statewide Amendment to ‘protect persons against medically assisted suicide’ passed by 51 percent across the state.

The results will be canvassed in a little over a week before an official result can be declared.
