CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office has released an unofficial report on early voting.
In the Eastern Panhandle, these are the preliminary numbers as of the close of the Early Voting Period Saturday:

More than 310,000 residents early voted in West Virginia, which does not include absentee ballots.
A representative from the WVSOS office says this is a record setting number of early voters since the option was first offered.
