MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — There is an update on a shooting that claimed the life of a Hedgesville man.
Berkeley County Sheriff Rob Blair tells The Panhandle News Network deputies were called around 2:18 Tuesday afternoon (October 29) to Tub Run Hollow Road in Hedgesville for the report of a shooting.
BCSD has identified the man who died as Anthony John Congo, 67, of Hedgesville.
His son, John Alexander Congo, 25, of Hedgesville was arrested and charged with murder.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reports Congo was last reportedly lodged in the Eastern Regional Jail.
