MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — During its regular meeting Monday night, the Berkeley County Board of Education’s agenda included the

approval of the FY24 Annual Financial Statements  pending the annual audit.  Treasurer Jim Butts presented the financial statement.  A motion was put forward by board member Pat Murphy to accept the statement and the motion carried.

 

 

In other business, Superintendent Dr. Ryan Saxe proposed a motion to award a bid for the building of the Hedgesville Pre-K Facility, which will reportedly be named the Hedgesville Early Learning Academy.

 

Burke Street Principal Todd Cutlip recognized Julie Dopson as Service Person of the Year:

Martinsburg High Principal Trent Sherman also presented Nicole Sergent as September’s Volunteer of the Month.
