BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Following technical issues between the software company that processes them and the credit card company taxpayers in Morgan County were not able to pay their property taxes online over the weekend.
The problem has now been resolved,
The tax department said they’d honor payments through today (Tuesday September 3) with the discounted property tax amount.
A representative of the tax department told the Panhandle News Network that no information was compromised. She said the problem occurred when the credit card company attempted an update that affected the online platform used by the county to process online tax payments.
