HAGERSTOWN, MD — Nine train cars derailed in Hagerstown on Sunday afternoon.
Units from the Hagerstown Fire Department were called to the scene in the 300 block of South Burhans Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m.
Officials say crews assessed the scene and found that the derailment did not involve hazardous materials, and the train cars were empty.
As of Sunday night, CSX was working to upright the cars. There is no word yet on what led to the derailment.
