BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Morgan County Schools earlier this month released an updated school calendar for the 2024-2025 school year.
In announcing the update, the school system emphasized that 2-hr Early Dismissal for Friday, October 4 has been moved to Friday, October 11.
The first day of school for students in Morgan County Schools is Tuesday, August 20, 2024. The last day for students is tentatively set for May 30th of next year.
The first 5 snow days will be NTID (Non-Traditional Instruction Day) – Remote Learning Days.
Among the scheduled days off:
Sept. 2 – Labor Day
Oct. 23 – Staff Professional Learning Day
Nov. 5 – Election Day
Nov. 11 – Veterans Day
Nov. 25-29 – Thanksgiving Break
Dec. 23-Jan. 3 – Winter Break
Jan. 15 – Staff Professional Learning Day
Jan. 20 – Martin L King Jr. Day
Feb. 17 – OS Day (possible makeup day)
Mar. 26 – Staff Professional Learning Day
Apr. 14-18 – Spring Break
May 26 – Memorial Day
