HAGERSTOWN, MD — Police in Hagerstown are investigating a shooting on Jefferson Street Sunday evening that left one individual in serious condition.
In a press release, HPD says:
On 7/28/24 at about 7:10pm officers responded to the area of the 300 block of Jefferson St for a report of shots fired.
Officers then learned that a victim had been taken to Meritus Medical Center for a gunshot wound. The 20 year old male victim is currently in serious but stable condition with non life threatening injuries.
Detectives are on scene and investigating. At this time we believe this to be a targeted incident between individuals who are known to each other. Updates will be made available as appropriate.
