BALTIMORE, MD — The National Weather Service out of Baltimore has placed most of our area under a heat advisory.

The advisory is in effect from noon to 8 p.m. both Tuesday and

Wednesday.  Today, heat index values could reach as high as
103 degrees.

On Wednesday, heat index values
up to 106 degrees are expected.

* Impacted areas include – in Maryland, Washington County. In Virginia,
Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick VA, Page, Warren and Clarke
Counties. In West Virginia, Berkeley and Jefferson Counties.

 

From the West Virginia Emergency Management Division, some tips to stay

☀️ High temps and high humidity this afternoon will make it feel like temps in the  100s.
💧 Stay hydrated, stay indoors if you can, and keep an eye on others when outside.
⚠️ Seek medical attention at the first signs of heat stroke.
