HAGERSTOWN, MD — The City of Hagerstown is informing residents of new procedures for trash collection moving forward.
Beginning today, customers are to use the new green carts and totes that should have been delivered to properties.
As automated collections are implemented, Waste Management stipulates all trash must be bagged and placed inside the tote or cart with the lid closed. “Trash set out outside of your cart(s)/tote(s) will NOT be collected. That means NO loose bags will be collected; nor will trash placed in any other container, according to the announcement from the city of Hagerstown. “Waste Management has made it clear that there will be no exceptions.”
Residents should set trash, recycling, and yard waste at curbside after 4:00 pm on their regular set-out day.
