WHEELING, W.Va. —  Some familiar faces were among those recognized Thursday as United States Attorney William Ihlenfeld  honored 22 public servants and law enforcement officials for their exceptional work.
The annual United States Attorney Awards were held in Wheeling to recognize outstanding criminal investigations and community service work in the Northern District of West Virginia.

Those recognized and honored from the Eastern Panhandle included George Swartwood, retired Chief of the Martinsburg Police Department and Dean Olack, Sergeant (retired), West Virginia State Police – both of Martinsburg were recognized with the Distinguished Law Enforcement Lifetime Achievement Awards

Ellen Duffy, Special Agent, FBI, Martinsburg, was recognized for Outstanding Investigative Effort

Jeffrey H. Cisar, Supervisory Senior Resident Agent, FBI, Martinsburg, was recognized in the category of Outstanding Drug Investigations
and earning the U.S. Attorney’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Firearms Trafficking Investigations Seth Cox, Special Agent, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, of Martinsburg.

US Attorney Ihlenfeld remarked, “Through their service and dedication, the recipients have made a transformational impact in the communities they serve.”
