UKRAINE — As Pastor Tim Guerino of the Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission continues a mission trip aimed at serving those in war-torn Ukraine, he has been sending updates to the Panhandle News Network as he is able. The most recent came on Wednesday morning and it was just a map, but it tells a story on its own.
Pastor Tim simply titled the email “Yesterday’s Location.”
The map shows how close the team is to a Russian occupied area. In a previous interview, Pastor Tim talked about being awakened in the middle night with air raid signs which can happen any time of the day and are often followed by rockets overhead. During one rocket attack, Pastor Tim likened the skies overhead to the 4th of July.
