PAW PAW, W.Va. — A tractor trailer crash on Rt. 9 near Paw Paw halted traffic for hours Friday morning.
Around 5:30 Friday morning, Morgan County Sheriff KC Bohrer told the Panhandle News Network  the crash had occurred on the section of Rt. 9 known as Paw Paw Road two miles east of the town of Paw Paw.
The driver of a tractor trailer lost control and went over a bank into a small stream, according to the sheriff, who said there were no injuries.
The road was shut down until just before 9 a.m.  Sheriff Bohrer said there is no alternative route allowing motorists to bypass the area of the crash.
Sheriff Bohrer said the driver was cited for failure to maintain control.
Among those responding with the Sheriff’s Department were thePaw Paw Volunteer Fire Department, MCSD Deputy Reserves.  The West Virginia DOH responded to control traffic.
