CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — There’s still one more general session to go for outgoing 97th District Delegate John Hardy.
Hardy, (R-Berkeley), announced this year he will run for Berkeley County Commission, instead.
This week, at the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Session, Hardy talked about rebate program that isn’t widely know that he would like to expand to assist retirees with their property taxes. Here are his remarks:
Delegate Hardy also talked about how the Eastern Panhandle can attract and retain quality state workers.
99th District Delegate Wayne Clark and District 98 Delegate Paul Espinosa (R- Jefferson) were also in attendance at Thursday’s event. Espinosa, who announced earlier this year that he will run for the 16th District Senate seat currently held by Patricia Rucker, talked about the need for affordable housing.
For his part, Clark praised his outgoing colleagues and talked about what he believed are legislative priorities for the upcoming session.
