HAGERSTOWN, MD — A woman was stabbed Sunday evening in Hagerstown and a man has been arrested and charged in the incident.
The Hagerstown Police Department reports officers were called just before 6:30 in the evening Sunday to an apartment off North Mulberry Street where they located a 34-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
She was transported to Meritus Medical Center with life threatening injuries but is expected to survive.
Officers identified a suspect, 41-year-old Brandon Lamont Howard of Hagerstown.
HPD alleges Howard left the apartment and began damaging a vehicle on North Mulberry Street. When the owner of that vehicle confronted Howard, they got into a physical altercation and Howard sustained injuries. He was also taken to Meritus Medical Center.
Howard has been charged with
2nd Degree Attempted Murder
1st & 2nd Degree Assault
Reckless Endangerment
Police say the woman and Howard knew each other.
