WILLIAMSPORT, MD — There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the location and arrest of a man police in Washington County say gunned down Judge Andrew Wilkinson in front of his home Thursday night.

Investigators located a car belonging to 49-year-old Pedro Argote near Williamsport about eight miles away from the crime scene.

Law enforcement served a large area around where that vehicle was found.  On Sunday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying, “The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has concluded search operations in the Williamsport area. No further information indicates that Argote is still in the immediate area.”

The United States Marshals Service released information regarding their search for the suspect:

“49 year-old Pedro Argote.  Argote is wanted in Washington County, Maryland for Homicide. Argote is charged with shooting and killing a Washington
County Circuit Court judge in Hagerstown, Maryland. ARGOTE is considered armed and dangerous. The U.S. Marshals
Service is offering a reward up to $10,000, for actionable intelligence which leads to the location and apprehension of
ARGOTE. People with information can call 1-877-WANTED2 or 1-877-926-8332. You can also submit tips online via
the USMS Tips App.”

Argote is described as a white male, 5’7″ weighing 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

The 52-year-old judge presided over Argote’s divorce case and granted custody of his children to their mother.
