SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — While West Virginia University has been making headlines for its restructuring of academic offerings in the wake of a proposed shortfall of $45 to 75 million, Shepherd University has also been looking at streamlining its programming.
Shepherd University President Dr. Mary JC Hendrix talked about the university’s efforts:
Among some other streamlining measures being considered is the closing of the Martinsburg campus, which opened ten years ago with a focus on non-traditional, adult learners.
Although enrollment in many colleges took a hit during the pandemic, Hendrix says Shepherd is bouncing back:
