Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center

SHARPSBURG, MD — Multi-year work on the Antietam National Battlefield Visitors Center has finished and the center is now open ahead of the yearly September observance of the battlefield.
A post from the Battlefield’s social media page says, “We are pleased to announce that the visitor center has reopened after a multiyear renovation. We hope you have the opportunity to stop by and see us soon.”
One upcoming event will be Saturday, August 26 –a day of programs on Civil War photography and the special connection to Antietam National Battlefield.
