MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Hydrant flushing and flow testing will be ongoing in Martinsburg through September 1st.
The city released a map of the current areas affected on its social media page.

“Residents may notice discolored water and small particles” as well as decreased or no water pressure.

Residents in the affected area area asked to refrain from using water during the process, as they will notice extra discolored water in their systems.
The city advises residents to NOT wash clothes during the process.
To rid lines of discolored water after the flushing and testing are complete, residents are advised to run cold water through an outside spigot or an inside spigot located on the lowest level of their home.
