KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. — A celebration of all things tomato is coming to the Eastern Panhandle Saturday.
It’s set for Saturday August 19th from 10 am to 2 pm at the WVU Tree Fruit Research & Education Center
67 Apple Harvest Lane in Kearneysville.
Berkeley and Jefferson County Master Gardeners and Tomato Fest Organizers Tina Hanigan and Susan Belmont were on Panhandle Live Tuesday.

Featured for Saturday are a Tomato Tasting Contest during which folks can vote for their favorite.
The Plant Doctor will be on hand to answer gardening questions

Children’s Activities
and a Cooking Demonstration with Chef Miriam from Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.
Admission is free but folks can purchase a snack featuring the star of the show – tomatoes; there are also commemorative t-shirts.
