BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Morgan County Sheriff KC Bohrer says plans are underway for this year’s Morgan County Sheriff’s Department – Cacapon State Park Youth Camp.
Organizers held their first meeting this week.
Sheriff Bohrer says this year, Chief Deputy Walter will be co-hosting the one-day camp, which is set for Cacapon State Park on Wednesday, 26 July 2023.
Campers are treated to demonstrations and other activities and at the end of the camp, they can take home school supplies.
The sheriff says Youth Camp could not be held each year without the generosity of community sponsors.
Anyone interested in being a sponsor can contact the sheriff or Chief Deputy Walter.
Applications will be posted soon, according to the sheriff. Sheriff Bohrer says the camp can accommodate 60 participants.
