SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. — A staff member at a Jefferson County elementary school had to be flown out for treatment this morning after being injured.

Jefferson County Schools Public Information Officer Hans Fogle tells The Panhandle News Network the staff member was injured while responding to a ‘student in crisis’ this morning.

“No students were harmed,” according to Fogle, and the student in crisis has been removed.

Fogle says there is no ongoing threat.

The staff member “has received medical treatment and will be transported to the hospital via helicopter in an abundance of caution.”
