MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Rosemont Elementary School’s playground is temporarily off limits.

Berkeley County Schools made the announcement late last week, saying while they know the Rosemont community loves the playground, work to replace portable classrooms will mean some of the playground equipment has to be moved. Workers will also remove some equipment believed to be no longer safe for the school community.

The announcement promises they’re working hard to complete the project as quickly as possible.

No timeline on when the playground will reopen, but school officials say they’re hopeful it will be back by the first day of school.
