MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — We in the Panhandle have become more than accustomed to seeing Shepherd University sports in the headlines and its student-athletes in the highlight reels. It can be easy to forget that these college kids have to not only perform on the playing field but also in the classroom.
Luckily enough, those student-athletes in question are just as buried in their textbook as they are in their playbooks.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced today (7/7/22) that 132 Shepherd student-athletes were named to the 2021-2022 PSAC Scholar-Athletes.
The criteria to be named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete is that the student-athlete must maintain a GPA of at least 3.25 at the end of the school year.
