SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — It’s Election Day in Shepherdstown.

Voting is at Town Hall from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Town Hall and the Police Department Business Office will be closed to regular business due to the election.

In the mayor’s race, Jim Auxer is running unopposed.

In the town recorder’s race, Lori Robertson is running unopposed.

For five available seats on the Town Council, there are four names officially on the ballot.

There are two available “write in” candidates according to a post on the town’s election announcement –

1. Leah Rampy – Town Council
2. James Vigil – Town Council
To vote for one or both write-in candidates, you must write the candidate’s name
and office on the front of the ballot.

The announcement reminds voters that in order to be eligible to vote in this election, you must be a registered voter residing within the corporate limits of Shepherdstown.
