MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center will provide free student physicals to Berkeley County Schools middle and high school athletes and fine arts students in June.
Cathy Funk, M.D., an internist with WVU Medicine Blue Ridge Healthcare, partnered with coaches, athletic directors, and nurses from Berkeley County Schools to chair this annual event.
Physicals will take place on June 7, 8, and 9 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Dorothy McCormack Center in Martinsburg. Registration will start at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. Students from each participating school will attend on a designated evening.
Tuesday, June 7: Martinsburg High School and Musselman High School
Wednesday, June 8: Spring Mills High School and Hedgesville High School
Thursday, June 9: middle school students and make-up physicals for students who missed their assigned date
Middle school students must have a guardian present in order to receive a physical. School athletic directors and coaches will provide students with additional details and all necessary forms. All students must have all forms completed with a guardian’s signature before registration in order to receive a physical.
