MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Berkeley County Sheriff Nathan Harmon has unveiled a new Website for his office that he says will be another step toward transparency.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Dept. web page will feature a call list to see what calls deputies were dispatched to.

The site features an interactive map, updated every 24 hours, that shows all the calls for service, the type of call, and while it won’t show specific addresses, it will feature the general area the call was dispatched to.  It also features heat mapping to show saturation areas.

To access the interactive map, go to berkeleywv.org and follow the public safety link to set up an account.  The crime map is available at crimemapping.berkeleywv.org

Sheriff Harmon was a May 3rd on Panhandle Live.  You can hear West Virginia’s Talk Show of the Year, Panhandle Live!, weekday mornings beginning at 9:00 on WEPM 93.7/1340 and WCST 93.5/1010 and online at www.panhandlenewsnetwork.com
