MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The US Attorney’s Office says Sixteen individuals from Maryland and West Virginia are facing charges involving a drug conspiracy.

The indictment alleges that large quantities of Eutylone, also known as “boot,” were trafficked from Maryland
o Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, West Virginia from February 2019 to March 15, 2022.

Those charged include local citizens, 23 year old Anthony Joseph Shants,
33 year old Robert Matthew Johnson, 26 year old Bernard Anthony Brickhouse, 22 year and Shayla Louise Wetze,
25 year old Destiny Hope Turner, and 23 year old Mikayla Doreen Thornton. all from Martinsburg, 28 year old
Sophia Ellen Hizer, of Harpers Ferry, 23 year old Kyle Allen Finch, of Hedgesville, and 22 year old Corbin Charles Linthicum, of Kearneysville

Further, the indictment alleges that a co-conspirator, Shants, possessed firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking activities.

All defendants have been arrested with the exception of Sophia Hizer and Shayla Wetzel, who are considered fugitives.
