MIDDLEWAY, W.Va. — There were reportedly no injuries after a Jefferson County Schools was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday morning.

A release from the school system indicates the bus had eleven students on board at the time of the accident, which took place around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Route 51 and Leetown Road.

Emergency responders were on scene and evaluated the driver and students.

Students were evacuated from the bus due to a fuel leak.

Jefferson County Schools reports bus operators from around the county adjusted their runs to ensure students got to school safely.

It’s the second incident involving a Jefferson County Schools bus within the last week.

On Friday, a vehicle backed into a Bus 20-11 in the Orchard Hills subdivision, resulting in minor injuries for three students.
