MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — This week, Jefferson and Morgan County Schools announced they are making masking in the schools optional for students and staff.
Berkeley County Schools Superintendent Dr. Patrick Murphy announced Wednesday the discussion “in respect to face covering requirements” will be on the agenda for the Berkeley County Board of Education agenda for Monday, February 21, 2022.
In his message, Murphy said he was making parents aware as they hear news of of neighboring districts making changes to their face covering procedures.
Murphy emphasized, “Until any changes are voted upon by our Board of Education, (the school system) will continue to operate under the current face covering protocols and procedures.”
