MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Martinsburg man was sentenced Friday on several charges, including attempted murder and wanton endangerment.

27-year-old Darius Jamal (DJ) Porter had been found guilty of charges related to a shooting on Diesel Avenue in May of 2020.
Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Catie Wilkes Delligatti announced Friday that Porter was sentenced to consecutive terms of imprisonment of 3-15 years for Attempted First Degree Murder, 1-5 years for Conspiracy to Commit Murder, 4 years each for 20 counts of Wanton Endangerment, and 1 -5 years for Conspiracy to Commit Wanton Endangerment for an effective
sentence of 25 to 105 years in prison.

That means Porter will not be eligible to petition for parole until serving a minimum of 25 years and could be held by the Division of Corrections for a maximum
of 105 years.
