MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Three people have been arrested after allegedly stealing from Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Berkeley County Sheriff Nathan Harmon says the call came in on Wednesday, January 19th at approximately 1000 a.m.,
A representative from the sporting goods store in the Retail Commons said three people had stolen two crossbows and were running toward the intersection at Apple Harvest Drive.
Deputies were eventually able to stop them. Harmon says the suspects confessed to the theft and were placed under arrest.
Sheriff Harmon says they confessed to the theft of another crossbow from the store the previous day.
One subject faces an obstruction charge, but all three face felony larceny and conspiracy charges.
They were taken to the Eastern Regional Jail after arraignment.
Harmon says the value of the crossbows ranged from 500.00 to 800.00 each.
