BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Multiple crews were on the scene of a large fire at Cacapon State Park Thursday night.
It was described as a brush fire out of control.
The Eastern Panhandle had been under a fire advisory and a high wind advisory most of the day.
Fire crews from the Panhandle responded, as did crews from neighboring Washington County Maryland and Frederick County Virginia.
That fire had reportedly been placed under control by 10 Thursday night.
Morgan County Commission President Joel Tuttle posted a picture of the fire earlier in the evening asking for prayers from the public.
