The Hagerstown Police Department is taking a look back.
“In the month of June, HPD handled 5500 calls for service; approximately 180 calls per day. 428 reports were filed and 162 arrests were made. Our officers continue to make an impact in the community and get the job done every single day! Below is a sample of some of the work that’s been happening.”
The social media post goes on to say, “To date, HPD has recovered nearly $24,000 in drug money. Money is subject to asset forfeiture proceedings through the court system.”

Handgun, CDS not cannabis, 400 block of Mitchell Ave- Denroy Defreitas 3/30/86 arrested on traffic stop for handgun possession and drug trafficking violations
Thomas Gordon 4/2/80 arrested for residential burglary in progress. Gordon charged for five additional previous burglaries
Handgun, Frederick and E First St- William Gunn III 4/2/81 observed in vehicle with a handgun in his lap.
Warrant, Assault on Officer, CDS- Frederick at E First St- Jermain Gordon 5/15/88 arrested after foot pursuit for outstanding handgun warrants. Gordon also charged with assault on officer, attempting to disarm officer, cds not cannabis and resisting arrest
Warrant, Frederick, MD – Davonta Thomas 9/14/94 arrested with USMS (United States Marshal Service) for attempted murder/shots fired in Noland Dr. incident. Christina Rickett 4/19/95 arrested on Noland Dr with USMS for conspiracy charges related to shots fired.
Warrant, 100 block of Elm St – Benji Russell 3/21/81 wanted by USMS Fugitive Apprehension Team for rape and sex assault warrants.

Warrant, Linganore Ave, after a foot chase and resisting Daniel Hanfin 11/17/81 was arrested on a Charles County warrant.
