SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — The Shepherd Rams Football Team is entering DII postseason play.
That means added travel expenses for students, families and the school’s marching band.
The Shepherd University Foundation has announced the “Band on the Run” Campaign to raise money for the Shepherd Ram Band to travel to playoff games.
The money raised will allow the ensemble to “serve as ambassadors for Shepherd in front of alumni, friends, and other DII football fans”.
The Foundation says there’s an estimated $6,000 in travel costs per regional game for the band.
Every dollar raised before the Saturday, November 23 game against Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) will be matched through the Shepherd Success Fund.
